We are looking for a Waste Coordinator to join our NAF team in Freeport, TX.

As a Waste Coordinator in the Freeport Environmental team, you will serve as a focal point for waste topics for assigned units. This will entail; creating waste characterizations and disposal profiles, providing technical guidance for the handling of waste, and coordinating waste removal, and documentation, with our onsite waste management contractor. 

As a Waste Coordinator, you create chemistry by...

•    Completing and maintaining Hazardous Waste Determination and Classification Form(s). Communicating concerns and information requests with operations and EHS personnel.
•    Coordinating waste profiling with BASF approved waste vendors. Establishing and Recertifying profiles with TSDFs. Maintain and manage all waste related records.
•    Analyzing waste sample lab analysis and maintaining analytical files in our sample log.
•    Updating site Satellite Accumulation Area and Waste Management Unit maps.
•    Serving as unit point of contact for waste profiling and removal.
•    Developing expertise in the site waste management database. Maintaining integrity of Waste Management Database. Providing training for use of database. Creating/Building Business reports to aid in internal and regulatory reporting.

If you...

•    Have an associate’s degree, this is required, a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
•    Experience interpreting analytical data collected to characterize and profile waste streams for on-site and off-site treatment, storage, and disposal.
•    Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, accept responsibility, and follow through without close supervision combined with self-starter and initiative.
•    Interpersonal, problem solving, organizational skills are essential. Must be able to negotiate with internal and external customers. 
•    Must have written and oral skills to effectively communicate regulatory requirements.
•    Willing/able to travel up to 5% of the time.
