Our Acrylics and Oxo/Syngas team at the Freeport site is looking for an Associate V with demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills. The ideal candidate is results driven with excellent attention to detail, highly skilled in both verbal and written communication, and possesses the ability to identify and solve problems to resolution. 

During your shift as a Associate V (Freeport, TX), you will

•    Utilizing your experience, working with the Acrylics and Oxo/Syngas team, you will be analyzing monthly costs to look for improvements and reporting them to the DST and Management. 
•    Having responsibility for Accounts Payable and Procurement activities for the Acrylics and Oxo/Syngas departments (Work Cycle, NTB, PR’s, PO’s), ensuring that high-value invoices are paid on time at the correct amount and aligned with the Cost Accountants for proper period accruals. 
•    Having responsibility for raw material procurement and management, including propylene, catalysts, and other key materials. 
•    Completing daily and monthly production reporting. 
•    Compiling complex presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, and spreadsheets with formula/pivot tables/analysis capabilities in Excel. 
•    Participating in the billing process, reconciling and auditing invoices (non-raw materials) such as procurement activities and invoice processing following BASF protocol. 
•    Independently managing calendars to accommodate conflicting meeting requests and handling calendar invites. 
•    Supporting the operations team with administrative and miscellaneous tasks, working under tight deadlines and performing multiple duties simultaneously. 
•    Performing and following up on various projects and administrative functions for the department, requiring both specific and general administrative knowledge.
 

If you...

•    Have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of administrative experience. (in a chemical plant, strongly desired) 
•    Are Highly proficient in MS Office Suites software suite and SAP software.
•    Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
•    Can effectively handle confidential information and interact proficiently with personnel at all levels.
•    Are multi-task oriented and able to manage tight deadlines, have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail as well as excellent interpersonal skills to efficiently assist internal / external customers.
