As a Senior Specialist in Business Travel Management, your primary responsibilities will include aligning, driving, and guiding global, regional, and local operational travel strategies. You will implement, administer, coordinate, and enforce policies, requirements, and procedures throughout the end-to-end business travel management process within the region. Additionally, you will serve as an advocate for all businesses and functions within your designated country or country cluster.

As a Senior Specialist Business Travel Management US & Canada, you create chemistry by...

• Overseeing the implementation of global business travel initiatives, policies, and programs in the U.S. and Canada while supporting the execution of a comprehensive Business Plan in partnership with the global travel management team.
• Acting as the primary liaison for the organization and the Global Travel Manager, coordinating demand-oriented service provision with local travel coordinators in each country.
• Ensuring maximum business productivity and minimized overall costs at the regional level by facilitating demand-oriented service provision and effective travel program implementation.
• Managing travel service provider resources to address service quality gaps while working with local travel coordinators, the Global Procurement Team, and the Global Travel Manager on all RFPs for annual hotel, airline, and TMC services.
• Coordinating with regional divisions and local travel coordinators to advocate for the implementation, administration, and enforcement of requirements and procedures in the U.S. and Canada.
• Developing and executing a structured action plan to achieve divisional initiatives, goals, and objectives within a regional scope, while continuously benchmarking against market trends to provide ongoing recommendations for the travel program.
• Effectively communicating updates and changes within the BASF travel program to both internal and external stakeholders.

If you...

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism or a related field.
• Bring over 3 years of experience in domestic, regional, and international travel management, including expertise in online booking tools and payment and expense solutions, as well as knowledge of local travel regulations within the region.
• Exhibit outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues from diverse cultures and regions.
• Have a proven track record of establishing strong relationships with travel-related vendors.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational, project management, and reporting capabilities.
• Are detail-oriented, adept at multitasking, and thrive under pressure while maintaining a sense of urgency.
