In this position, you will be responsible for global communications for BASF’s Pharma Solutions business, shaping its reputation and driving strategic external and internal messaging across markets. Manage end-to-end communications, digital marketing, and crisis response while advising senior leadership and ensuring alignment with business goals. This is an individual contributor position that requires cross-functional collaboration.

- Leading global external, internal, and change communications for the Pharma Solutions Global Business Unit, aligning communication strategies with business, marketing, and organizational objectives.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to the GBU SVP and leadership team, providing strategic communications counsel and driving execution of key initiatives across Pharma Solutions globally and the Americas region.
- Developing and implementing integrated communication, digital marketing, and media relations strategies that enhance brand reputation, support business growth, and engage target stakeholders worldwide.
- Creating compelling content and communication campaigns across digital, social, trade, and business media channels, while building and maintaining strong relationships with industry media and journalists.
- Leading employee engagement and change communication programs, including town halls, leadership communications, video messages, and other initiatives that strengthen organizational alignment and culture.
- Managing end-to-end communication projects, including planning, budgeting, performance monitoring, and coordination of internal teams and external agencies to ensure measurable results.
- Developing and executing crisis and issues management communication plans, providing strategic guidance, media responses, and stakeholder communications in collaboration with business and corporate communications teams.
If you…
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or a related field, with a strong international and multidisciplinary orientation.
- Bring 8+ years of experience in public relations, project management, or marketing communications - ideally across both agency and in-house roles.
- Preferrably have proven experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industries, with a solid background in digital marketing and communications.
- Are skilled in navigating international and multicultural environments, including matrix organizations, with a track record of steering PR and media agencies.
- Possess strong collaboration skills in global teams, including virtual teamwork across geographies and time zones; experience in community building is a plus.
- Have demonstrated ability to use data-driven insights to guide multi-channel communication strategies; excellent English communication skills, and solid project and budget management capabilities.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $111,280 - $139,100. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
