We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Elyria, OH.

As a process engineer, you will collaborate directly with groups such as production, maintenance, safety and environmental, research & development, engineering, product/technology managers, etc to help improve productivity/efficiency/safety/long term stability of the site. 

As a Process Engineer II, you create chemistry by...

• Supporting key initiatives such as product and technology transfers, new product introductions and trials, safety projects and improvements, and process optimization to fulfill the mission of the business and site.
• Identifying and implementing plans to optimize processes, enhance product quality, develop productivity improvements, eliminate waste, and reduce operating costs.
• Following the MOC process, including scope definition, risk assessments, PSSR, training, action items, and closure.
• Providing Capital Project scopes, which includes designing and specifying equipment, as well as developing PFDs and PIDs, project start-up and testing plans, safety and environmental reviews, operating procedures, training, and ensuring successful project completion.
• Promoting positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by effectively collaborating with off-site BASF personnel (Product and Technology Managers, Supply Chain, R&D, etc.) and customers when applicable.

If you...

• Have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent blend of knowledge and experience.
• Possess at least 5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Have excellent communication skills.
