Where the Chemistry Happens

 

The Seed Treatment - Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for the seed treatment relationships for regional accounts and driving seed treatment demand in the Northern Plains Region (ND, SD), with a strategic focus on inoculants.  

As a Seed Treatment – Regional Account Manager you create chemistry by…

 

As a RAM, you will be expected to drive seed treatment business and manage retail key accounts. You will be responsible for the seed treatment relationship at targeted BASF accounts across the channel. You will be the trusted seed treatment advisor for the region, maintaining and building new business.   

In these capacities, you will be an integral part of the BASF Seed Treatment division and our US Agricultural Solutions field team. You will work closely and collaborate with key BASF stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, and the Leadership Team. You will be expected to establish yourself as an integral part of the greater BASF team within the region, including Strategic Account Managers, District Managers, Business Representatives, Technical Service Representatives, Agronomic Solutions Advisors, Product Managers, and your RAM colleagues. You will share in the regional objective of driving the BASF seed treatment business while building and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

 

You will need to live in the region as specified (North Dakota or South Dakota) but will work remotely.

 

Your formula for success…

 

·         Utilize your Bachelor Degree in Science such as Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, Business or related field. MSc is a plus.

 

·         Minimum of 7 years’ experience in field sales, account management, marketing, or business development.

 

·         Demonstrated strong understanding of the seed treatment market, crop protection channel, specifically retailers, and manufacturer/seed company business.

 

·         Proven track record of relationship building, customer focus and success selling to seed companies, seed houses, and/or CP Distribution markets.

 

·         Proven ability to initiate communication, collaborate and achieve with others as part of a field sales or marketing team.

 

·         Demonstrated success in budget management in a sales environment and ability to realize growth opportunities.

 

·        Strong inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates.

 

·         Ability to self-manage time and resources and to allocate time and energy appropriately, resulting in achievement of goals.

 

·         Willingness to travel overnight/weekly across the region (Minimum 50% overnight travel).

 

·         Passionate about making a difference in the agricultural industry.
