Sales Representative – (2201611) – Circle Pines, MN

 

Where the Chemistry Happens

 

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and ensure that safety, quality, and productivity is maintained to meet the required internal and external demands and regulations as well as business expectations.

As Sales Representative you will be responsible for the business support of a strategic BASF division, focused within the automotive sector, working with a team of sales and operations professionals to prospect for new business and support that business once acquired with in-field order processing and customer service delivery.

In this role, you will have accountability for sales prospecting, new account acquisition and business development.

In addition, you will interact with other business functions including Operations, Finance, Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain and Corporate EHS to provide our team with resources to support the foundation and growth of the business.

 

Formula for Success  

Leveraging your business knowledge as a sales professional within the automotive sector you will be able to effectively participate in all sales development, fulfillment activities and customer service delivery.

Demonstrating your ability to work and promote a high-performance culture, you will collaborate with the Fulfillment Manager and Fulfillment Coordinator to monitor and optimize processes to maintain sustainable continuous improvement in a lean environment - as well as evaluating and identifying opportunities for improvements and growth.

You will work diligently to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction is achieved as well as the overall business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

 

Core responsibilities:

Demonstrated experience and success in sales prospecting

Demonstrated professional selling skillset and sales growth mindset

Demonstrated ability to work independently to identify and develop new leads

Presentation skills to articulate our value proposition to prospective customers

Work safely, diligently, efficiently and effectively.

Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and applicable government regulations.

Excellence in organization, time management and communication skills.

Physically capable. Ability to Lift 50lbs.

Acceptable Driver's Abstract required for this role and responsibility.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Salesforce.com. Excellent Math Skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet time-sensitive deadlines.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

 

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

 

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

2 years of experience within logistics required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

BA or BS Degree

Experience in sales prospecting and selling

Experience in automotive aftermarket sales
