Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you who will be responsible for financial performance analyses associated with forecasting and planning, as well as actual results. The analyses can be operational or strategic in nature, and may include economic/ financial support from marketing, sales, and functional organizations. Effective communication will be an essential skillset for this role with stakeholders throughout North America and around the globe. In addition, you will help to develop and evaluate tools and vehicles to strengthen a value-based mindset for all levels within the business unit.

Formula for Success

    Be the key individual responsible for the coordination of annual business fixed cost plan preparation, including the monthly forecasting process, as well as report preparation used by both global and regional management teams. Contribute to and support development of the monthly business performance metrics report. Proactively monitor business performance at all fixed cost positions, identifying topics requiring management attention. Perform ad-hoc financial alternative studies including capital investment evaluation, as well as short-term decision-making support such as make versus buy. Partner with controlling team colleagues to promote department sustainability and continuity through ongoing cross training. Ensure sound internal controls over financial reporting processes across the entire EDN business. Lead efforts to find and evaluate new values from Big Data, extracting the meaning from the data, bringing new insights to the business. Proactively work with internal corporate functional areas, challenging cost allocation methods and working towards cost transparency for the EDN business. Serve as the controlling representative on the Supply Chain Leadership Team. Assist with cost transparency initiatives with SC team, and work on special projects, especially alternatives.
