Manager, Regional Product Management, Additives-Charlotte, NC Where the Chemistry Happens We are looking for our next Manager, Regional Product Management, Additives in this role you will collaborate with Sales & Marketing to achieve the expected profitable growth of Additives for North America throug, price and cost management to optimize margins of the additives portfolio, portfolio optimization, asset management and global demand/supply coordination to ensure reliable competitive product supply.Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success:
Pricing:- Set regional base and target prices and approve customer prices under regional base price
- Define quarterly pricing guidance to ensure sustainable margin generation and manage asset utilization based on guidance from Global Product Management
- Collect, analyze and share competitor pricing intelligence from Sales
- Manage regional product portfolio and initiate appropriate actions, e.g. pruning, production relocation, process optimization, set-up / correction of master data etc.
- Participate in regional demand validation meetings with Sales and Supply Chain to review and adjust demand forecast
- Collect and review inputs from Sales for mid-term planning
- Propose and support measures to improve product supply reliability, e.g. investments, raw material replacement, etc.
- In case of shortages, provide allocation quota for North America and work with Sales Director / Account Managers for allocation to customers
- Support the qualification of alternative raw materials to reduce production risk and achieve cost savings
- Generate and implement ideas for potential cost / capital cost reduction e.g. logistics / inventory optimization
- University degree or equivalent in chemistry, engineering or business-related field Min. 4 business years’ experience (marketing, product management, R&D, production, SC, controlling)
- Strong analytical, project management and commercial background Excellent communication skills, a good team player who thrives in a multicultural and multi-functional environment Experienced in planning (budgeting, controlling) Excellent command of both spoken and written English
