We are looking for a Senior Technician to join our research team (RGU/CR) in Attapulgus, GA.

As a Senior R&D Technician for our Refining Catalyst business unit, you will build a meaningful career supporting new product and process generation and implementation at BASF’s Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) catalyst operations located in Attapulgus, GA.

During your 8-hour evening shift as a Senior Technician, you will

• Perform Lab and Pilot process simulations to expand the current level of process and product technology.
• Support manufacturing trials at the three BASF FCC manufacturing sites in the GA area to successfully demonstrate scale up and technology transfer to operations.
• Complete broad range of analyses to characterize properties of experimental components including development of new testing procedures as needed.
• Communicate and effectively document results of lab and pilot scale experimentation.
• Identify quality and productivity improvement opportunities and complete actions needed to implement.

If you...

• Have a HS Diploma or GED with 5 years of applicable experience, 2 year Associate degree with 3 years of applicable experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with a 1 year of applicable experience.
• Possess laboratory or operations experience preferably in catalyst, minerals, or kaolin processing.
• Are able to work afternoon / evening shift.
• Are willing and able to work 12 hr rotating shift to cover plant trial demonstrations when needed (requirement varies based on project and stage of implementation, but typically is on the order of 5 to 20% of the time).
• Are able to lift up to 50 lb and carry up to 25 lb
