We are looking for a Relief Operator to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.  

As a Relief Operator you will serve to provide relief for various job assignments within different functions.

During your 8-hour shift as a Relief Operator, you will

• Relief Operator will be required to perform up to one or more job assignments within the following job classifications.  
  • MBC Outside Rover – REM, RER, MBC Denning, MBC Bex 
  • Chemical Handler 
  • Concentrator Operator 
  • Special Assignment 
• Backfill the position on the team for which you will be trained. This approach requires that every position within the classification be performed by at least two of the regular shift team members and that only one of those be on vacation at any given time.   
• Will report and receive work instructions from the Production Coordinator while working on a shift and will report and receive work instructions from Area Superintendent when not following a shift.
• Perform any duties as required by assigned Team Leader or member of Management. 
• Routinely participate in area housekeeping audits with Team Leaders and Management. 
• Follow direction from Blend coordinators notes and interact with Blend coordinator as needed. 
• Understand, monitor and operate within process safety operational guidelines and report process safety incidents.  Complete process safety training as required by company. 
   

If you...

• Hold a HS Diploma
• Have a valid driver's license
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Possess basic computer skill knowledge
• Read, write and perform accurate arithmetic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 
• Physically able to lift fifty (50) pounds, walk / work on uneven surfaces, climb and work in high or elevated area (i.e., climbing and descending stairs repetitively during a shift).
