BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.  

As an FCC Relief Operator for our EVC business unit at Attapulgus site, you will support safe and efficient operations by providing coverage across multiple FCC job assignments. In this role, you will help maintain continuity of operations, uphold BASF’s safety standards, and ensure high-quality production performance.

During your rotating 8-hour shift as a FCC Relief Operator, you will

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment in accordance with occupational, environmental, process safety, and operational guidelines.
• Complete required training and maintain qualifications across a minimum of two—and up to six—FCC job classifications (FCC 1–3 Outside Operator, Calciners Outside Operator, Beach House Operator, FCC 4 Outside Operator, Makeup Operator, CCR Inside Operator).
• Perform duties as assigned by the Production Team Leader or Management.
• Participate in housekeeping audits to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Adapt to inside and outside work assignments depending on operational needs and your qualifications.

• Hold a HS Diploma
• Have the ability to train, obtain, and maintain multiple skill qualifications as required.
• Can follow detailed procedures, operational guidelines, and safety standards.
• Are willing and able to work overtime as needed to support operational coverage and qualification requirements.

This position is part of the United Steel Workers Union and is covered under the collective bargaining agreement.  All benefits are outlined in this agreement.

The pay rate for this role is $28.89  per the Union's collective bargaining agreement.
