Objectives of the Position      

  • In charge of controlling tasks of Country business unit in Sub-region Japan, i.e. planning and performance management, product costing in production site, business analysis, governance and compliance
  • As trusted business partner to local business and site management team to provide reliable data for management decision making
  • Proactively supervise and improve operational excellence scenarios in Japan and implement the identified excellence projects with involving people from relevant organizations
  • Participate in critical business steering projects/initiatives within the business unit and in the sub-region Japan across business units and structurally evaluate the baseline scenarios/ models

     

      Main Tasks

Planning and performance management

  • Accountable for operational planning and forecasting processes.  Coordinate and support local and site management for target setting.  Closely align and liaise with GBU/RBU controlling during this process. 
  • Consulted on cost center structure, implementation of activity-based cost charging of technology laboratory.

Business analysis

  • Responsible for local reporting landscape, closely liaise with GBU/RBU. 
  • Responsible for business and site performance analysis/ steering, provide gap analysis and recommendation for management decision.
  • Responsible for product costing and site excellence topic.
  • Responsible for initiating and monitoring improvement measures.

Governance and Compliance

  • Responsible for enforcing financial policies, procedures and guidelines and compliance with internal control effectiveness.
  • Responsible for follow up on audit activities.
  • Consulted on risk management process.
  • Consulted for inter-company transfer pricing (ICTP)/ cost sharing agreement (CSA)/ financial review compliance (FRC)

Interface management

  • Responsible for coordination within business unit and influence stakeholders related to controlling specific topics.
  • Developing and implementing controlling systems and tools for business unit
  • Consulted on training and support on controlling topics.


 

Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Working Experience: Minimum 4 years relevant experience in business controlling and/ or finance and accounting
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Solid and hands-on knowledge of reporting systems, skills of digitalization and controlling tools is a plus; Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Others: Proactive and positive attitude, team player; Strong in analytical thinking and good communication skills
