Objectives of the Position

This position is responsible for the commercial handling and technical delivery of request management activities in the area of in the area of datacenter and cloud environments and participates in the delivery of infrastructure projects.

This role works in close alignment with

  • Infrastructure & Applications DevOps teams to solution and prepare the project / change request
  • Regional Services teams to coordinate on-site readiness and deliver on-site activities
  • Key supporting role to the Principal System Engineers for mid- to large-size IT infrastructure projects.

Main Tasks

  • Supports the implementation of global standards – services, technology, delivery model, mode of operation, sourcing
  • Supports the end-to-end delivery of global, regional and local IT Infrastructure projects and change requests. Main activities incl. but not limited to:
    • Highlight and report on project risks & impact, issues, quality and timeliness
    • Coordinate & schedule project meetings
    • Support project performance and progress reporting, ensuring all required documentation is maintained and updated in a high- quality manner
    • Perform and schedule required testing, documenting and follow up for problem resolution where required
    • Distribute, communicate and create, where required, communication and change management materials
  • Support Project Closure activities and documentation Takes the needs of our global internal business partners, support and coordinate for the development of required solutions that fits their demand. Prepare such solution proposal and support discussions to enable the identification and selection of the best one (functionality, performance and costs).
  • Work with and escalate (as required) the resp. vendor(s) in order to provide right solution to the internal business partner.
  • Monitor the deployment process by considering the agreed SLA's, OLA's and KPI's (for example, provision within agreed delivery times). This is done in close cooperation with the internal specialist units. Ensure documentation and quality assurance of our service fulfillment

Requirements

Education

  • University degree in Business IT (University, BA, university of applied sciences)
  • University degree in information technologies (University, BA, university of applied sciences)
  • Technical career preferably in information technologies, telecommunications technologies, process control technology, communication technologies
  • Good knowledge of project management methods (analogous to PM2)

Working Experience

  • 3-5 years working in IT Infrastructure delivery roles
  • Working experience within BASF combined with a highly developed awareness for the organization would be an advantage

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Microsoft, ITIL, Network certifications, Linux, Power Platform would be advantageous
