Front End Developer

Objectives of the Position

With our teams "Digital Stores / Webshops" and “Product Information Systems” - embedded in the product family "Digital Commerce" - we deliver various solutions worldwide and are therefore THE digital face to the customers of BASF. We inspire and advise our business units with our many years of experience in commerce in both business and technical matters.

In this role, you will independently drive you will independently drive the development of our Digital Commerce frontend solutions, building responsive and user-friendly web applications using React and other modern technologies.

Responsibilities and Key Outcome 

• Collaborate with designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional user interfaces
• Implement features and functionalities using React and other front-end technologies
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Optimize the performance and usability of web applications
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices

Requirements 

Education 

• Bachelor or completed training.

Work 

• 2+ years of experience as a front-end developer

Technical and Professional knowledge (Mandatory)

• Proficiency in React and other modern JavaScript frameworks 

• Strong UX/UI design skills and experience creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces 

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and related technologies 

• Ability to version code with Git and branching models as Git-flow / Github Flow
