Main responsibilities

• Provide lab support to Care Chemicals business in ASEAN to promote BASF raw materials (Surfactants, Chelates, Polymers etc.) in Agrochemical markets.
• Executing various types of lab activities such as new technologies evaluations, promoting existing Agrochemical portfolio of ingredients in relevant markets, development of new experimental methods. It requires working on customer problems and broader market requirements.
• Support business development from a technical point of view: developing lab solutions based on customers feedback and communicate to customers under guidance of supervisor.
• Develop new applications based on existing portfolio under guidance of supervisor.
• Promotion of new R&D products and preparation of promotion materials thereof.
• Analyze, conclude and initiate lab work under guidance of supervisor.
• Maintain the workplace and working environment that support work safety and efficient production activities according to plant safety regulations as well as Company EHS guideline, RC Requirements, Quality system ISO 9001, EFfCI GMP, Halal, RSPO and Energy management.
• Key interfaces: sub-regional sales, regional technical teams, customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry/industrial & applied chemistry/physical chemistry or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in laboratory or relevant working experience.
• Ability to quickly understand customers and translate into lab work, team working, effective communication and collaboration skills under the multicultural environments.
• Know- how of Agrochemical formulations, hands on experience on various test methods and lab equipment used in preparation of emulsions/ solutions/ dispersions for Agrochemical applications is a PLUS.
• Good communication skills for English.
