JOIN THE TEAM

Our unit Material & Substance Master Data delivers efficient processes and applications for maintenance of Material and Substance master data in collaboration with BASF's divisions and Shared Service Organization.
The product team’s responsibilities include to run, consult, design and deliver state of the art digital solutions based on SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As integral part of the product team you take an active role in the design and implementation of solutions in Material and Substance Master Data applications to fulfil the requirements of our stakeholders.
• You align functional and process requirements with Internal Business Partners, Product Owners and Solution Architects and translate them into the necessary IT-language and jointly prepare designs and approaches for implementation.
• You take responsibility in projects for consulting, designing, and performing data transformation and migration activities in the area of Substance and Material masterdata.
• You contribute to designs, planning, estimations, and ongoing activities as part of an agile product team.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and system go-lives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant Business/IT studies with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Several years of experience in SAP Substance and Material Masterdata concepts. 
• High level of expertise in data extraction, transformation, and load best practices and methodologies as well as the ability to maintain and enhance related database solutions, based e.g. on SQL.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
• Team player with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• You can demonstrate fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
