BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.


Main Tasks:
- Take EHS responsibilities with detailed information in Annex.
- Keep refreshing up-to-date knowledge particularly the standards/codes, with what basis to analyze deviations of region and site setup and propose solutions to comply.
- Maintain, improve and implement the MoC for the telecom system to meet the compliance and operation requirements. Troubleshoot telecom issues occurred at site. Identify the root causes and make recommendations for improvements and/or implement accordingly.
- Supervise maintenance activities execution, manage technicians and 3rd party contractors.
- Take part in telecom related activities in regional and site technical communities.
- Assist asset manager develop the maintenance strategy of telecom systems and conduct accordingly.
- Collaborate with procurement and contractor management team on external services and contract-out management, including contractor assessment, qualification, technical clarification, bidding and verification etc.
- Follow BASF continues improving process to optimize sustainable lifecycle management and cost management.
- Telecom discipline lead or technical expertise supports for the CapEx project.
- Lead or support the development of telecom relevant systems’ specifications, develop strategy for best implement solution the project (e.g. MxV).
- Lead or support the cost estimation of project composed telecom relevant systems.
- Lead or support the staffing plan of telecom discipline execution.
- Lead or support the technical part for telecom relevant systems’ procurement activities, ITBs, Bonus & Malus, and so on.
- Supervising engineering company/institute, suppliers, construction team and commissioning of telecom scope assuring success with the project targets.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’ degree or above in industrial automation or communication engineering.
- At least 5 years total working experience mandatory.
- At least 3 years in specific professional field (telecom or network) mandatory, maintenance experience is a plus.
- At least 2 years working experience in chemical/petrochemical industry preferable.
- Familiar with national telecom relevant standards/codes.
- Familiar with the maintenance and lifecycle management in chemical/petrochemical industry.
- Familiar with regulations/requirements in terms of telecom engineering, construction and commissioning.
- Technical knowledge in telecom systems such as fire alarm, access control, PAGA and so on.
- Knowledgeable in telecom application empowered by digitization technology, for instance AI CCTV and so on.
- Solid written and verbal communication in Chinese and English skills.
- Familiar with national and international telecom brands and pro-and-cons.
- Familiar with the configuration of cyber- security products, such as firewalls, identity authentication, vulnerability assessment, network antivirus, and network management software.
- CISP or CISSP, CCIE or HCIE certificates is preferred.
