BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the digital technologies and applying the high safety standards.

What you can expect

Provide critical equipment condition monitoring services for continually improving maintenance efficiency and plant reliability in terms of latest know-how and technologies in the BASF BIG site.

Main tasks

EHS Management
1. Be responsible for the implementation of EHS policy, procedures and BASF Responsible Care codes of the site to ensure compliance and safety maintenance execution.
2. Ensure training and compliances of safe job procedure, work permit system, EHS guideline, local and international rules and regulations to BASF team staff and contractors.

Technical Management
1. Develop and implement reliability strategies, ensure the stability and reliability of equipment and systems.
2. Conduct reliability activities of equipment, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Risk based maintenance (RBM) analysis.
3. Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans, including defining maintenance strategies, creating maintenance schedules, and optimizing maintenance processes.
4. Lead failure investigations and analysis, identify root causes of equipment failures, and propose improvement measures to prevent recurrence.
5. Assist in the development of equipment upgrade and improvement plans, ensuring that equipment remains at the forefront of technology and reliability.
6. Perform reliability data analysis and reporting, providing key performance indicators and trends to support management decisions and continuous improvement.
7. Collaborate with other departments and teams, providing technical support and guidance in reliability engineering.
8. Participate in reliability assessments and testing of new equipment, ensuring that new equipment meets reliability and performance requirements.


What we expect

1. Bachelor's degree above in technical, engineering or chemical related.
2. At least 10 years work experience in plant maintenance & reliability of chemical or petrochemical and at least 5 years work experience in reliability management.
3. Strong knowledge of reliability tools, and work processes, familiar with the FMEA, RCFA, Bad actor methodologies.
4. Strong technical skill in root cause failure analysis and troubleshooting.
5. Strong behavioral skills in Achievement Drive and Impact & Influence.
6. Good communication skills and Customer Focus.
7. Good English in spoken and written.
