Main Tasks:
- Support in setting up the simulation & optimization model for ZVSP Cracker for evaluation of feedstock and plant economics, including furnace simulator, LP model, RTO, APC, etc.
- Identify gaps in the tool compared to current Cracker design.
- Keep improving LP model to make it represent actual process of company site accurately. Build friendly operating interface and highly efficient data transfer interface for users to use LP model easily.
- Accountable for collecting, treating, and analyzing actual production data. Monitoring the offsets between digital models and actual data. Updating coefficients of model and improving model accuracy.
- Close collaboration to work with internal & ext. partner to close gaps.
- Analysis the difference between plan and actual to make evaluation for operating economics.
- Use chemical simulation software skillfully, especially combine SPYRO with LP to increase technique level of LP model, become simulation expert in company.
- Supports long term planner in using the LP to highlight and calculate the cost of future unit overhauls and shutdowns.
- Member of an exchange community for Cracker between ZVSP & EU & NA  Introducing best practices in ZVSP
- Maintenance of optimization systems
- Change and build new LP model according to the information about change and expansion of COMPANY plants, and to ensure all changes on LP model correct and the model can be run normally.


Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- Detailed understanding of LP model package including model configuration, standard features provided with model, specific formats for data input, how to populate model data, how data is stored prior to matrix generation, generation of reports, tools provided for analyzing matrix, tools provided for analyzing solution, representation of sub model / process data, and model tuning coefficients/parameters.
- A minimum of 1-3year experiences in cracker simulation role
- Deep understanding of cracker operations and variabilities of cracker economics
- Knowledge of logistics of petrochemicals products
- Must have worked with tools like Spyro , Aspen tech, Romeo etc.
- Fluent English and Mandarin skills mandatory
- A strong curiosity to know how things work and how to make them better.
- Creative problem-solving: Approaching data and problems with a clear eye on what is important; employing the right approach/methods to make the maximum use of time and human resources.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills (with respect to technical experts, upper management and cross functional teams)
