BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide. The new smart Verbund site will include a steam cracker with a capacity of 1 million metric tons of ethylene per year and downstream plants for consumer-oriented products. A strong Site Logistics Operations (SLO) is important for the success of BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site. Site logistics connects the production facilities among each other, secures the raw material supply and acts as gateway to our customers. Time, costs and reliability of supply require logistics processes to be organized in a future-oriented way, which includes smart logistics technologies such as automatic warehouses, auto-guided vehicles (AGV), conveyor systems, robots, YARD management systems, and electronic warehousing management systems (eWM) etc.

The Plant Truck & Container Logistics Operation is to provide the comprehensive on-site logistics services regarding external truck management, on-site-transportation, container storage, tank container cleaning and maintenance to ensure safety, reliable, efficient material supply and finish goods transfer, which connects production plants and each site logistics nodes as well as fulfill various container handling requirements for business needs.

The Container Yard shift leader is responsible for managing container yard & tank container cleaning station shift group to execute the daily operation tasks based on the requirements of EHS, quality, cost and customer, including daily operation task assignment in shift, shift administration management, abnormal incidence handling, performance summary and reporting, etc.
集装箱堆场高级领班负责集装箱堆场及罐箱清洗站日常运营及班组人员管理工作，以符合安全、环保、质量、成本及客户需求，职责包括日常班组任务分配、班组人员行政管理、异常处理、绩效管理及汇报等。
• Manage all the container yard & tank container cleaning station operation tasks in shift, evaluate and solve important operation task and abnormal task, operation tasks including: container storage and retrieval, temperature controlled container heating and cooling, tank container cleaning and inspection, container maintenance.

• Responsible for shift book documentation in daily operation

• Technologies in the field of work: general knowledge of container incl. box container and tank container, dangerous goods definition and category, typical chemical hazard and protective measures, practical work skills with chemical production is plus, like hose connection, valve handling, etc.
