Objectives of Position:

  • Independently or partially independently execute R&D projects and topics that support the BASF innovation pipeline to meet the current and future business needs for BASF.

 

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:

  • Accelerate Innovation
    • Support team development activities to achieve KPIs (Innovation sales, Vitality index, Time to market, Reporting, Technical launch ratio)
    • Support supervisors’ product development activities by implementing synthesis, by operating processing machines, testing equipment, facilities and analyzers and by reporting the experimental results in accord with instructions, company rules by specified due date. For some specific product development activities, he/she could lead and execute topics independently.
    • Create, share and upload lab reports and results to LIVE Journal and Monthly report properly
    • Implement necessity actions for new product registration (CAS, RACE, Chemical inventory, BI) 
    • Support synthesis trial at production, toller and customer
    • Collaborate with Product manager about procurement new materials for development
    • Execute IP survey and prepare IP to apply, if available
    • Support ideation for new product and application
    • Collaborate with commercial team to translate market/customer needs to Ever green and/or Project proposal
  • Live Sustainability 
    • Implement lab EHS activities according to team EHS policies, targets, effectively, rationally and timely
    • Work together with subcontractors for maintaining lab clean, tidy and updated
    • Manage the assigned equipment, raw materials and facilities and keep safety documents update
  • Excite Customers
    • Participate customers’ workshop and exhibition to grasp customer pain points and trends
    • Support processing trials of development products at customer together with TD, if necessary
  • Inspire People
    • Strengthen knowledge about TPU material, properties, application and processing through OJT and lectures
    • Support supervisors to improve Evo by suggestions and proposal properly
  • Deliver Profit
    • Support and implement CAPEX planning with supervisor
    • Support commercialization of development product
  • Embrace Digitalization
    • Implement LIVE Journal upload
    • Understand and start utilizing Foundry data base

Prerequisites:

  • Education  -  Preferably higher than the bachelor’s degree at in Technical or Chemical Field
  • Working Experience  -  Preferably more than 2 years in a technical field or in product development related field (product or application or process or technology role)
  • Technical & Professional knowledge 
    • English  TOEIC >500
    • Technical knowledge
    • Analytical thinking and Experimental designing 
    • Communication and reporting effectively
