Objectives of the position:

 

  • Responsible for driving and improving demand forecast accuracy with Sales team
  • To plan and manage raw materials and merchandise products
  • To manage expiring, slow moving and obsolete inventory including discussion with sales, propose and execute write-offs and material extensions
  • Owner of material master data accuracy and maintenance

 

Demand Planning

 

  1. To drive forecast accuracy by working closely with Sales team to gather industry and market trends, analysing historical data and gathering rolling forecast  
  2. To lead monthly demand review meeting with sales team to review forecast accuracy, biasness and ensure latest demand is updated in planning tools
  3. To ensure DCF, DCC system data accuracy and assist sales reps in any system related issues
  4. To continuous improve demand planning process with latest best practices
  5. To plan, manage and act as the single point of contact in Supply Chain for merchandize products
  6. To support make-versus-buy analysis and recommendations
  7. To coordinate set-up of Inter-Company Transfer Pricing prices for finished goods
  8. To establish and lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
  9. To maintain and update Portfolio list based on make v buy, obsolete and new product launch decisions

 

Supply Planning

 

  1. To collaborate closely and work effectively with logistics planner and production planner to ensure on time delivery and fulfilment of orders 
  2. To resolve supply issues and develop mitigation plans for potential supply disruptions
  3. To manage inventory target stocks for all finished goods and days of inventory projection and reporting
  4. To own and develop inventory management measures to drive inventory optimization.
  5. To lead monthly review of slow moving, expiring and obsolete inventory with sales and marketing and follow up with action plans
  6. To propose quarterly stock write-off list to Supply Chain manager and execute upon approval
  7. To manage and coordinate materials phase in phase out, site transfers as well as the maintenance of related master data with related factories and cross-function departments
  8. To actively review and implement planning business rules and stocking policy along the value chain
  9. Owner of material master data set up and maintenance, including coordination of ICTP price maintenance
  10. To support continuous improvement of planning processes through participating/contributing to projects and planning community
  11. SAP Support – Lead SAP Material Master / Planning Process and support any system integration or migration.
  12. To support stock-take and reconciliation process
  13. Acts as the back-up for Production Planner

 

 

Qualifications and job requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or Business Admin.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain management, with focus on demand and supply planning
  • Experience in demand forecasting system and planning tools will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge in production planning is highly preferred

 

Technical & professional knowledge:

  • Possess strong experience in ERP/MRP systems, especially SAP
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and demand planning
  • Excellent data analysis, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict management abilities
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented
  • Able to work under pressure and handle multi-tasks in a dynamic environment
