*Objectives of the Position:   
-Discover customers and drive growth: Plan sales strategy in order to achieve agreed sales target and grow sustainably.

-Find opportunities: Develop project pipeline with customers, business partners and through partnerships with Regional technical lab in Asia.
-Close profitable deals
-Manage Korea pharmaceutical market research including trends, regulation, competitor and growth opportunities.

-Grow business and expand Omega 3 nutrition grade on top of Pharma excipients and APIs
-Act as a manger to develop a team and people in Korea and Japan along with Sub regional Head of Sales.

 

*Main Tasks
1.Operational:
-Perform all sales driven activities for Pharma Solutions in the subregion 
-Business growth: Apply the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales related targets (e.g. volume, cCM1 and net sales, cost, DIV, DSO). Close deals to maximize cCM1.
-Responsibility for Planning & Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of products and services
-(Strategic) Account Management: Develop lasting customer relationships to identify business trends 
-Identify customer requirements and offer solutions accordingly
-Drive growth through effective Distribution Management
-Develop customer portfolio to grow net sales and profit. Align customer pricing & segmentation. Define and implement local market price policy and ensure competitive positioning. Identify new customers and interact with corresponding process, leading to profitable future business
-Discover and drive opportunities at customers. Strengthen opportunity finding, increase opportunity pipeline value and drive growth opportunities through effective sales pipeline management in close collaboration with the technical service team.
-Execution of Sales Excellence (Effectiveness of sales). Pricing through PMM, CRM usage and BRM compliance
-Contribute ideas and market knowledge to fill innovation pipeline
-Continuously increase market intelligence and update customer and competitor data
-Develop a team and people, Korea and Japan, by mentoring, training and advising to follow the subregional strategy.

 

2.Strategic:
-Strategy Development, conceptualization and implementation: contribute to the development and drive the execution of the Pharma Solutions strategy. Specific responsibilities include annual and short-termed sales plans, business and market development, market research and planning, strategic direction for local promotion, and partnering with other related management teams, e.g., customer service, supply chain, product management, marketing.

-Conduct customer-specific concepts and strategies and align them with marketing and management
-Support of business management, investments and alliances. Identify regional innovation potential in cooperation with various stakeholders/partners. Provide input and support the development of joint ventures, affiliations, partnership arrangements, and M&A activities.

 

*Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position:
-Education: University degree, minimum bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical or Chemical related major, ideally additional MBA Degree    

-Working Experience: At least 10 years experiences in commercial roles in pharma business or related industries with a proven track record of developing business      
-Technical & Professional Knowledge: Knowledge for handling technical matters and commercial transaction; skills in pharmaceutical technology and operations; being familiar with pharma related quality standards (GMP) preferable; ideally, experience in key account management 
-Skills: Fluent English speaking and writing, business acumen, strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, hunting spirit, strategic and conceptional thinking, conflict management
-Skills: Team and People management, commit on fostering a team and people to achieve a subregional and individual targets. Coaching team members through annual performance review cycle, CMC and daily interactions based on agreed mid-short term development plan
