Supervisor, Demand & Distribution Planning(006184)
• Takes Ownership and Review processes which supports Business strategy and Annual Targets in the areas of Demand & Supply Planning, Distribution Planning, lead and facilitate Sales and Operations Planning
• Devises and implements supply chain strategy which is aligned with the business strategies. Translates the relevant business needs to interdependent supply chain activities.
Main Tasks:
1. Demand & Supply planning Processes:
Designs and implements the end-to-end planning processes (Demand & Supply Planning, Purchase-To-Pay, Make-To-Inventory). Collaborates closely with the relevant business stakeholders to ensure smooth flows of information and materials, and to respond effectively and efficiently to customer needs. Moves from manual-based operations to system-based and implement the digitalization roadmap defined. Drives for continuous improvement in processes and technology along the supply chain.
2. Supply Chain process design and implementation:
Setup of new process, business module within BU by coordinate with function depts, supplier and service provider, in compliance with government & country-specific legal laws and regulations. Document process for implementation and track development for continues improvement
3. Cost Management:
Proactively looks for efficiency gains, operational excellence and cost savings opportunities to contribute to the company’s profitability and a sustainable competitive position for BASF.
4. Inventory Management:
Establishes and implements inventory control procedures in order to maintain optimal stock level to fulfil customers’ needs, at optimal warehousing cost and working capital cost. Manages dysfunctional and slow-moving stock proactively to minimize working capital cost and avoid inventory scrapping.
5. OMP planning:
• Manage production and material planning, as well as scheduling, to ensure business requirement is met.
• Master data maintenance and management including Material, Packaging, GHS label, etc
Job Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain / logistics, engineering, business or related field is required.
2. Working Experience:
• 8 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, business management or operations is required.
• Experience within the chemicals or materials industry is preferred.
3. Other requirements:
• Knowledge of supply chain processes including demand planning, S&OP, master production scheduling, and inventory management required
• A strong working knowledge of SAP or other ERP planning system, inventory management
• Good communication skills
