Senior Manager, Sales (Display) (004795)
• Lead the technical sales, application lab, and commercial sales team, including building up the competencies, recruiting, training, performance management and employee development.
• Develop and execute the account strategy, covering mid- to long-term objectives and measures. Execute, control and track the key account plan in coordination with account team and other stakeholders.
• Be responsible for annual budget, volume, net sales, gross margin, and opportunity costs targets. Provide accurate sales forecast and develop annual sales plan, supporting efficient planning of products and services.
• Coordinate and manage all communications for the assigned key accounts to develop and foster strategic long-term business relationship; serve as a liaison between the management level of the key accounts and BASF teams to provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Anticipate market trends and identify sales opportunities by utilizing product application knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of entire customer and market value chain.
• Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications leading to profitable future business.
• Acquire projects with highest customer commitment and values, prioritize customer projects for key account and align resource requirements with marketing/ product management.
• Lead all contract negotiations with assigned accounts and provide operational guidance to the sales team to ensure implementation.
• Coach and guide the key account team to continuously increase market intelligence and update customer and competitor data.
• Actively support global operation team incl. supply chain and tolling activities in China to enhance business development in China.
Requirements:
• Master degree in Chemistry, Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering; MBA is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Display and/or Semiconductors Industry
• Experience key account management including negotiation skills pricing, profit analysis, customer relationship management
• Proven ability to influence-cross functional teams without formal authority
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
