Senior Engineer, R&D (PU) (005779)
- Under supervision of a lab team leader perform routine scientific research tasks using standard techniques, procedures, and equipment.
- According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implement and comply with the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures.
- Supports the project manager for pilot and customer trials and upscaling if necessary.
- Supports the segment lab expert in the technical training of new colleagues in technical/business teams.
- Actively involved in the ideation/opportunity finding process within the framework of the BASF innovation process.
- Builds knowledge of the lab equipment, techniques and evaluation methods, shares with the relevant partners and suggests continuous improvement measures.
- Builds network with relevant functions within the operating division and research functions through active exchange.
- Reviews working instructions, maintenance procedures and operation related risks regularly and initiates necessary measures with support from the functional manager.
- Compliance with the cost regulations and strong alignment with the functional manager.
- Providing guidance to interns and ensuring their work safety.
Main Requirements:
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience for Bachelor's Degree holder; 1-3 years for Master's Degree holder.
- Technical knowledge in Polymer Chemistry or related fields, good Presentation skills, IT skills, and understanding of IP.
- Native speaker of Chinese. Good written and spoken in English.
