= Objectives =
• Prepare and execute negotiations and RfX
• Contract implementation & monitoring
• Category Management
• Lead projects and contributes in projects
• Execute Supplier Management
• Execute Risk Management
• Responsible for contributing to develop, implement and monitor strategy for regional categories

= Main Tasks =
(Source-to-Contract):
• Independently manage source-to-contract activities with focus on iBPs and suppliers in Asia Pacific within the strategic boundaries set by the Regional Category Manager
• Negotiation & contract award: determine optimal negotiation / award alternative, award demand to supplier(s)
• Contract implementation & monitoring: manage contracts and decide on appropriate actions; inform relevant parties (e.g. Shared Service Center, iBP) about negotiation results; manage supply issues and/or sales allocation/force majeure situations
• Implement appropriate actions for E2E margin management
• Escalation point for NCM management (with support from Operational Officer)
• Collect required documents from supplier(s) for master data processes
• Approve PO / Contract in SAP

(Plan-to-Strategy):
Responsible for contributing to strategy for Regional Categories:
• Provide input of iBPs’ needs and market knowledge (e.g. supply market structure and dynamics, strategies of suppliers, pricing structures, opportunities and threats) to Regional Category Manager
• Support Regional Category Manager on strategy development (e.g. strategic goals, strategic options, implementation plan)
• Strategy implementation & follow-up: tackle action items, deliver progress report to Regional Category Manager

(Others):
• Functional Responsibility: functional guidance by Regional Category Manager to ensure alignment with category strategy and to secure intra and inter-regional synergies
• Drive procurement initiatives with local iBPs and suppliers in Asia Pacific (e.g. savings initiatives)
• Provide input to iBP key contact
• Execute Supplier Management according to boundaries and action plan aligned with Regional Category Manager, manage relationships with key suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, drive supplier innovation
• Execute Risk Management approach with appropriate actions
• Reporting of results from negotiations and savings initiatives


= Job Requirements =
• Bachlor Degree in Chemistry or chemical Engineering is preferred; Master Degree in business administration (MBA) is advantageous
• Minimum 7 – 8 years work experience in procurement or similar area; experience in procurement, sales or marketing of chemicals (e.g. specialty chemicals) is an additional advantage
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of supplier, market environment, products and technologies within respective area
• Knowledge of procurement processes and guidelines
• Excellent in English
• Good IT skills (e.g. SAP, Icertis)
