= Objectives =
• Responsible for contributing to develop, implement and monitor strategy for regional categories (Utility: water, gas, steam & CO2 emission) and buyer role for the above categories/products
• Special assignments: Develop biomethane pilot case in APAC region and start-up of contract implementation
• Contract implementation & monitoring
• Category Management
• Lead projects and contributes in projects
• Execute Supplier Management
• Execute Risk Management

= Main Tasks =
• Responsible for contributing to strategy for Regional Categories:
• Provide input of internal Business Partners' needs and market knowledge (e.g. supply market structure and dynamics, strategies of suppliers, pricing structures, opportunities and threats) to Regional Category Manager
• Support Regional Category Manager on strategy development (e.g. strategic goals, strategic options, implementation plan)
• Strategy implementation & follow-up: tackle action items, deliver progress report to Regional
• Prepare and execute within boundaries set by Regional Category Manager(goods / services package, type and approach, internal business partner requirements, roles for negotiation, list of suppliers, alternatives to negotiated agreement
• Hand over execution to Shared Service Center (if applicable)
• Provide input to buying guide
• Evaluate incoming offers and, if applicable, challenge bonus/malus evaluation of requisitioner
• Negotiation & contract award: determine optimal negotiation / award alternative, award goods / services package to supplier(s), ensure result within defined boundaries and targets, otherwise seek approval from Regional Category Manager
• Contract implementation & monitoring: manage contracts and decide on appropriate actions; inform relevant parties (e.g. Shared Service Center) about negotiation results; manage supply issues and/or sales allocation/force majeure situations
• Implement appropriate actions for end to end margin management
• Collect required documents from supplier(s) for master data processes
• Functional Responsibility: being led by Regional Category Manager
• At request of Regional Category Manager, align resource allocation for Local Procurement Representative with Hub Management and provide guidance to Local Procurement Representative in selected cases
• Execute Supplier Management according to boundaries and action plan defined by Regional Category Manager, manage relationships with key suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, drive supplier innovation
• Execute Risk Management approach with appropriate actions
• Reporting of Result / Performance in ProValue.


= Job Requirements =
• University (e.g. Master + min.2 yrs in a relevant position or Bachelor + min 4 yrs in 2 diff. relevant positions
• Relevant experience in Procurement, especially experience in Utility area in Chemical Plant.
• Good negotiation skills
• Knowledge of supplier, market environment, products and technologies within respective area
• Knowledge of procurement processes and guidelines
• Good in English
• Good IT skills (e.g. SAP R/3 Cobalt, SAP Business Warehouse, Strategic Procurement Suite)
