Main Tasks:
- Lead, review and monitor the compliance of tax filings and applications as well as tax accounting and reporting of legal entities of sub-teams of BASF China’s Finance platform independently
- Contribute tailor made tax advice and value-adding guidance proactively to support specific strategic Business/Functional units’ operations / projects and facilitate actual implementation with close and good collaboration with other stakeholders
- Coordinate and manage in establishing, optimizing and developing specific operational processes to drive efficiency and excellence on timely basis in line with business needs
- Lead on initiatives on innovative working solution and cutting-edge technology for digitalization transformation and manage on actual implementation within specific timeline
- Support team leader in managing specific area of technical quality improvement and risk management of overall Tax Operations
- Lead in exploring and analyzing specific tax regulation reform, evaluating and visualizing potential impact and generating prompt solutions or specific new operational process development and implementation due to regulation update or business change
- Manage and coordinate trainings as well as knowledge sharing to internal and/or external stakeholders to enhance awareness and competency of tax knowledge and company policy
- Monitor specific tax matters (e.g. tax audit or inquiry) and implementation of tax planning initiatives in cooperation with Tax Department
- Perform the professional governance function on specific legal entities not covered by BASF GC service platform
- Monitor the communication with tax authorities for responsible legal entities and maintain transparent and trusting relationship with tax authorities and related government authorities
- Build, develop and motivate a high-performance sub-team (including team R&R, succession planning and etc.) to ensure sufficient technical capability and professional knowledge, provide effective coaching on continuous talent development
- Accomplish other tasks/projects as assigned by the supervisor within agreed timeline and provide timely report to the supervisor or other related stakeholders
- Remark: Depending on team and business needs, detailed main tasks could be possibly changed/expanded accordingly and assigned by the supervisor on a timely basis.


Requirements:

Education: Bachelor degree or above from university, majoring in finance, accounting and taxation related
Certificate: CPA, CTA preferred
Working Experience: Over 7 years’ working experience with at least 5 years’ tax experience in multinational manufacturing company (experience in Big 4 and domestic leading firms preferred)

Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of PRC accounting and tax operation and practice
- Being familiar with ERP system and program (e.g. SAP), IT expertise and programming experience is plus
- Team-oriented and self-motivated, strong customer orientation and drive for innovation
- Strong logical analysis and organization skill, excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Fluent in both verbal and written English
- Proficient MS Office skills for Excel, Word and PowerPoint
