BASF Coatings Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (BCTS) is founded in 2023 in Shanghai, China. The company specializes in providing global customers with a high-quality range of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings’ solutions, powered by advanced capacity of production, R&D and digitalization.

BCTS currently employs approximately 400 individuals. In addition to sales and marketing, the company operates a resin plant for automotive coatings industry, producing a range of raw materials of coatings, including acrylics, polyester, polyurethane, e-coat binder, and intermediate grinding resin. A global Digital Transformation Unit (DTU) and global / regional R&D facilities are also operated by BCTS. The R&D facilities consist of spray booths, drying chambers, simulation line laboratories, and physical testing laboratories, which are used to test, refine, and innovate intermediate and finished products related to automotive coatings. DTU analyzes prospective future business sectors for coatings industry to offer digital solutions.

Main Tasks:
- You´ll be responsible to drive the negotiation strategy within indirect categories, defining tactic beings fully accountable for their execution
- You take accountability for the execution of negotiations and documentation of negotiation result (commercial terms, e.g., price, volume allocation) incl. contracts by ensuring full auditability and compliance
- Moreover, you continuously evolve and apply advanced negotiation methods, such as behavioral economics principles and smart auction design, to achieve superior results with your educational proficiency and curiosity for new developments.
- You convert negotiation learnings into insights into scalable solutions and frameworks, including digital platforms, auction systems, and AI-based co-pilot solutions 
- You actively support business needs beyond core roles stepping into roles such as negotiation coach for other teams.
- You lead or contribute to strategic initiatives from basics to advanced, such digital transformation, mentoring programs to extend procurement’s impact on business performance.

- Openness to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and willing to integrate innovative technologies into the procurement process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
