= Objectives =
• Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the planning process related to lean logistics, physical planning, logistics system planning, automation planning, and digital logistics planning.
• Plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective operations within the onsite logistics function
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, transportation to optimize planning strategies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

= Main Tasks =
Lean Logistics
• Develop and implement lean logistics strategies to drive operational efficiencies and minimize waste.
• Identify and implement best practices, process improvements, and standard operating procedures related to lean logistics planning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating PFEP data with collaboration of on-site operation team.

Physical Planning
• Plan, coordinate, and optimize the physical layout and flow of assets and resources within the onsite logistics facility.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in regard to physical planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans for space optimization, inventory management, and material handling.

Logistics system planning
• Assess, select, and implement efficient and cost-effective logistics systems for inventory management, order processing, and short haul.
• Analyze logistics data to identify system-related issues, propose solutions, and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with IT and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and effective utilization of logistics systems.

Automation Planning
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity within the onsite logistics function.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and develop business cases for automation projects.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated systems, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Provide support for investment decisions and initiatives related to logistics planning, including the identification of opportunities, financial analysis, and business case development.

Digital Logistics Planning:
• Explore and implement digital solutions to improve visibility, transparency, and decision-making in logistics operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to leverage data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other digital technologies for enhanced planning and forecasting.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in digital logistics and recommend appropriate innovations.
Continuous improvement
• Optimize operation process according to business requirements, innovation with feasible solutions for work efficiency improving and cost saving
• Regular communication with BU/plant to meet the requirements from BU
• Participate in the related projects to drive efficiency, effectiveness and safety improvement
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations and optimize delivery performance.


= Job Requirements =
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferred).
• Strong knowledge of lean logistics principles and experience implementing lean practices in logistics operations.
• Proven experience in logistics planning, preferably in the chemical industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in physical planning techniques, including facility layout design, space utilization, and material handling equipment selection.
• In-depth understanding of logistics system planning and ability to design efficient and effective logistics processes.
• Experience in planning and implementing automation solutions, such as warehouse management systems and robotic process automation.
• Familiarity with digital logistics tools and systems, including transportation management systems and warehouse management systems.
• Proficient in project governance methodologies and experience in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to drive decision-making and process improvement.
• Proficiency in logistics simulation software to model and optimize logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate logistics strategies and initiatives.
• Fluency in both written and speaking English
