
Manager, Application Development (006367)
- As a customized solution provider, developing Cellasto NVH parts which are meeting the technical requirements and specifications from automotive customers.
- Technical responsibility for development projects with specific OEMs and Tier 1 customers including project management responsibility to ensure smooth start of production.
- Promote Cellasto technical advantages - as specialist in the field of automotive suspension - and offer technical consulting to the OEM to increase BASF market share for all core NVH applications. In focusing replacement of rubber as well as defending technical leadership position among the PUR suppliers.
- Lead development projects of Cellasto core NVH application, provide global harmonized solution to key customers, well communication skill and capable to cooperate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Willing to travel in frequent base to participant technical review meeting, trouble shot solving and so on.
- This position requires working very closely with Sales, Product Management, Procurement, Quality Management, Quality Control, Supply Chain, Production and external sub-suppliers.
=Main Tasks=
- Project Management: Manage all phases in development process from specification review to launch of series production. Full responsibility for timeline and milestones, such as 3D part design, sample part manufacturing, internal testing, customer vehicle evaluation, OTS, PPAP and customer approval.
- Development Project Acquisition: Proactively promote Cellasto solutions at customers and provide PUR application expertise which could lead to joint development projects and finally nominated for new business. Very deep understanding of difference between rubber and PUR material grades used for NVH applications in terms of part and vehicle performance.
- Design Leader: Responsible for 3D/2D part design with CAD. Optimizing part geometry based on simulation, prototype part evaluation results and customer feedback. Responsible for production feasibility evaluation.
Main Requirements:-
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Vehicle Dynamics
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of automotive part design or project management.
- Familiar with automotive OEMs and the related development process.
- Deep understanding of automotive suspension, experience in the development of elastomer bushings is preferred.
- Experienced in part design or measurement for automotive industry
- Familiar with IATF 16949, design FMEA, CAD software (Pro/E preferred) , PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
- Project Management capability, capable to analyze and solve problems, experience in customer communication.
- Fluent English and Chinese in both oral and written.
