Global Technical Application Manager – OPPANOL® (All-Solid-State Battery & Medical applications)
The Technical Application Manager serves as a global technical expert for OPPANOL® polyisobutene (PIB) solutions in All-Solid-State Battery (ASSB) and medical segments. This role bridges R&D, sales, and customers to ensure successful implementation of PIB-based applications, driving innovation, market adoption, and business growth. The position requires strong technical knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept to commercialization.

=Main Tasks=
[Technical Expertise & Application Development]
- Develop and optimize application solutions for ASSB and medical markets.
- Provide formulation and processing guidance to customers and internal teams.
[Customer Support & Engagement]
- Act as the technical interface for key customers, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers and sales teams.
[Project Management]
- Lead technical projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborating with the global team
[Market & Technology Insights]
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in ASSB and medical sectors.
[Compliance & Safety]
- Ensure adherence to BASF and legal requirements for EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and information security.
=Main Requirements=
- Possesses at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in technical service, new business development or R&D related to batteries.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and project management.
- Understanding polymer materials, battery technologies, and medical-grade applications.
- Experience in new business development.
- Ability to develop creative solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Ability to deliver presentations and training effectively.
- Skilled in managing projects, timelines and resources.
- Fluent English skills.
- Can accept international travel as required.
