Engineer, R&D (PU) (006233)
- Provide assistance to Lab Manager to achieve the objectives of Research/Development projects in an effective way.
Main tasks:
- Plan and conduct work packages in projects and topics independently, evaluate the technical pathways.
- Responsible for the lab development and equipment validation.
- Document & report work package results.
- Conduct pilot and customer trials and upscaling.
- Understand the BASF innovation process and participate in the ideation process.
- Build knowledge of the lab equipment, techniques and evaluation methods and shares with the relevant partners.
- Actively build and maintain the technical know-how in the relevant working area, current product development and IP status.
- Build contacts with other technical functions like other PD units, related technical service and research through proactive exchange.
- Responsible for ensuring the occupational, health and environment safety in the assigned working area in compliance with BASF and local country regulations.
- Write and update working instructions, maintenance procedures and operation related risks regularly and initiates necessary measures.
- Compliance with the cost regulations and strong alignment with the PD Manager.
Main requirements:-
- Masters' Degree in Polymer Chemistry/ Polymer Science/ Polymer Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or related field.
- At least 2-3 years experience in R&D in PU industry for Bachelor's Degree holder.
- Master's fresh graduates are encourage to apply.
- Good technical knowledge on PU formulation, processing and raw materials.
- Good understanding of PU applications in targeted industry segments.
- Good oral and written skills in both Chinese and English, German is a plus.
- Basic project Management skill, Presentation, IT skills, Scientific literature.
