Assist Lab management for routine compounding lab activities and technical support.
- Assist lab manager to manage compounding team members to achieve target KPI and team objectives
- Monitoring the compounding process at the pilot plant during development or customer sample production. No customer samples will be produced when the process is not robust (e.g., pelletizing issues, die deposit issues, raw material handling or feeding issues, etc.).
- Deliver process guidelines and onsite support to setup process parameters when there is new process required.
- Conduct process DOE and provide process guideline for a challenging product to the PD and related function based on requests. Synthesis lab report and share to stakeholders for the key take outs from the internal/ external studies.
Conduct and monitor compounding process scale up and plant support
- Assist lab manager to verify the compounding process window prior to PTO at the plant and sharing the findings with the MTC and operation team.
- Collaborating with PD, MTC, and operation teams to identify and implement improvement plans when production challenges are expected during the development process.
- Attending critical PTOs at the plant to support compounding process optimization.
Manage Lab digitalization activities.
- Assist lab manager to build up digitalized and automated lab to avoid human errors, to make digitalized data for further analysis, and to protect operators in terms of ergonomics.
Drive for compounding process innovation
- Maintain an overview of the state of art of compounding process technology, equipment, and other accessories to build up internal competency to align customer and market needs.
Main Requirements:
- Master Degree in Polymer Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent. Candidates with relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience on engineering plastics compounding as an R&D process engineer, product developer, or plant process engineer.
- Good knowledge on scale up and industrialization.
- Good knowledge on statistical analysis based on lean 6 sigma tools and methodologies.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Good skills in documents and presentation.
