Assistant Manager, Product Safety & Regulations(006263)
• Expert for New Chemical Notification (NSN) and risk assessment on new & existing chemicals in China
• Drive to implement related solutions to ensure the compliance of chemical regulations and license-to-operate
• Leverage the expertise from Center of Excellence in PS&R GC to internal and external service recipients and related projects
• Ensure regulatory compliance of the assigned BU in area of Product Stewardship
Main Tasks
• Monitor China regulatory trends of new & existing chemicals, conduct related impacts, provide guidance and recommendation on appropriate measures in BASF Group to meet the regulatory requirements
• Deliver professional service as Center of Excellence NSN China to support product development and new markets of BASF Group in terms of China new chemical notification and (eco)toxicity, including good strategy and solutions for registration cases and related projects
• Monitor and coordinate the (eco)toxicity testing with internal stakeholders and external CROs
• Perform the professional service for NSN dossier preparation and support ODs & Sites for post-notification activities
• Support on the guidance and NSN license management in BASF group, including the volume tracking, documentation and authorities’ supervision
• Support the alternative methods and regulatory developments in terms of (eco)toxicity and risk assessment in Greater China
• Deliver professional Product stewardship (PSS) service throughout the whole life cycle of the product including raw material selection, management of change, respond customer inquiry etc. for the designated business unit
Job Requirements
1. Education: Post-Graduate University degree in science related area, preferably Chemistry, (Eco)Toxicology, Biological Science or related discipline
2. Working Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience
3. Technical & Professional Knowledge:
• Good knowledge in new chemical notification and related chemical regulations
• Basic knowledge in toxicology and ecotoxicology
• Good learning ability
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
