Operator, Production
Objectives of the Position
To perform daily plant operations safely and efficiently under the supervision of the superior, ensuring compliance with BASF's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, company guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements.
The role focuses on collaborating with shift leaders and team members to meet production and quality targets, drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs, and maintain a clean, safe and environmentally compliant work area through strict adherence to SOPs and best practices.
Main Tasks
Related for EHS:
- Ensure all staff and contractors comply with BASF's EHS regulations and standards.
- Participate in the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs in line with Integrated Management System (IMS) and Responsible Care (RC) Management System.
- Serve as a Rescue Team member in Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities.
Operations:
- Execute tasks as instructed by the superior.
- Perform all production operations in accordance with Batch Cards, Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure safe, effective, and compliant execution of tasks.
- Accurately complete Batch Cards, checklists, forms, and other required documents in a correct and proper manner.
- Coordinate and manage shift production to consistently meet quality targets
- Work with the shift leader to drive continuous improvements that reduce batch cycle times, increase yields, enhance operational ease, and support cost effective production.
- Update product knowledge regularly through the proper channels.
- Ensure all plant emissions remain within statutory limits and maintain the health and hygiene standards of personnel during the shift.
- Ensure proper adherence to the work permit system during shifts.
- Comply with process safety and environmental protection codes in accordance with BASF practices.
- Always maintain good housekeeping and 6S practices to ensure clean, orderly and environmentally compliant work area.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum SPM
- Experience: Total of 5 years' experience in Chemical Process
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Chemical process and equipment as Pump, valve, reactor
