Domestic Delivery Services, Senior Analyst
Objectives of the Position
- To manage supply chain and logistics activities for legal entities i.e., BASF (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (BMS) on warehousing and domestics delivery in Malaysia including Third Party Logistics (3PL) service providers Management.
- To execute Global Business (GB) Supply Chain services for domestic, cross-border, warehousing inbound/outbound operations and regional business operating in Malaysia
- Drive cross collaboration topics and alignment with the Hubs team, import/export team, Customs & Foreign team, Finance and Operating divisions to improve overall service performance including process automation
- Responsible in ensuring 3PL regulatory compliance and adherence to our organization and Country statutory requirements
Responsibilities
- To meet all the DDS Global, regional and local KPIs and targets
- Manage transport operation (inbound, outbound) for bulk and packaged with different modes of transportation, perform SAP transactions e.g. Delivery Order processing, Transport Management Order processing, etc.
- Evaluate, monitor and improve the performance of 3rd party service providers, handle non-conformance management (NCM) service investigations until closure. To follow up and review the NCM if any repeated, to lead and drive improvements on the performance of 3rd party service provider in DDS scopes.
- To manage and monitor the BASF track and trace solutions (Elemica & Shippeo) for the delivery status from end to end for local and cross border deliveries.
- To communicate closely with customer service order team/APTC related to local or cross-border deliveries, ensure to meet the business units/customers delivery requirements
- Insurance management (raising insurance claim and recovery) incl. management of recovery from service providers
- To join the internal/external audit and random checks at 3PL to ensure adherence of agreed work instructions and business rules.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 8 years in Logistics operations such as Warehousing and Distribution management, including, but not limited to, transport management preferably in the chemical industry a, knowledge of licensing requirements and Dangerous Goods handling.
- Experience in a regional role is an advantage
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications and SAP.
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics operations.
