       About The Role 

• Provide support to process engineering and technology transfer topics in India
• Prepare a comprehensive engineering package for process development and scale-up topics in India pertaining to batch processes
• Continuously support the production to optimize plant performance and output
• Support process engineering research lab development activities and innovation activities for OD-specific needs
  
  How Will You Do It 
  
• Act as the “Focal point” of process engineering research in India to connect with ODs and expert teams globally, to provide solutions accordingly by leveraging process engineering expertise & resources
• Self-dependent execution, or participation of complex research and operation support projects that requires specific expertise in process engineering
• Provide continuous support to the lab scale process development activities and develop a strategy for the scale-up based on the process requirements and constraints
• Build-up stronger competencies downstream unit operations for batch processes (distillation, filtration, crystallization, drying etc.) in India to bridge the gap between lab and production scale
• Closely work with the ODs and external contract manufacturing partners to develop a process package for effective tech transfer and operational ease
• Provide continuous support for troubleshooting, operational issues and process optimization during and after the tech transfer
• Identify and evaluate new contract manufacturing partners for various applications from different ODs in India
• Independently identify and execute topics focusing on operation cost reduction for plants
• Critically evaluate and interpret the process data to give recommendations about improvements
• Comprehensively develop technical concepts for new processes, including mass balance, PFD, simulations, engineering calculations and design of equipment
• Strictly follow the legal, information protection and EHS compliance regulations
  
  

     What Are We Looking For 

• Education: Masters in Chemical Engineering or related
• Working Experience  
  1-5 years experience in the domain of process engineering and/or batch processes and/or technology transfer, process scale-up, process development and optimization for downstream operations.
• Technical & Professional Knowledge:
  Experience with process simulation and modelling of distillation units, heat exchangers, filters, crystallizers etc.
• Experience of working on process development, technology transfer and scale-up topics is desirable.
• Experience of building up lab capabilities for process development and optimization.
• Communication:
• Proactive, open, and self-motivated, ability or potential to handle multi-interface communication.
• English:
  Be able to use English as work language; German will also be desirable.
• Proficient in process simulation software; skillful in standard applications such as MS Office; familiar with plant data collection system and analysis
