Objectives of the Position

    • In charge of financial planning, forecasting, reporting and business analysis and commercial controlling support for APA business in country.
    • Act as financial advisor, challenger and business partner to the APA Local Business Manager (LBM) in all matters of financial relevance including business steering and projects/initiatives. Be the go-to person for Compliance questions. Be member of the country and business area APA management team

 

Main Tasks

 

    • Financial Reporting and Forecasting & Operational Planning:
      • Responsible for monthly actual reporting and full year forecasting of P&L, specific balance sheet items and sales. Conduct forecasting processes as part of the integrated planning process (supply FC, demand FC, financial FC). Accountable for developing, tracking and reporting financial scenarios (risks & opportunities).
      • Develop business commentary for corporate management.
      • Identify risks/downsides and opportunities/upsides to sales plan.
      • Document and track risks and opportunities including likelihood and decision time and review on a monthly basis. 
    • Commercial and Operational Controlling:
      • Collect and review calendarized articles including volumes and prices.
      • Support Country Management in steering pricing and rebate schemes. Develop price/volume scenarios. Check rebate settlement calculation, monitor rebate accruals.
      • Track profitability on product level and initiate countermeasures (e.g. price increases)
      • Track and support steering of expenses, i.e. selling cost, R&D cost, and manufacturing/tolling cost (if applicable)
      • Request for ICTPs of new products, providing relevant information relating to market price and local COGS
      • Monitor development of local COGS development (PUP review, MARS Q&A, material master status, tolling fees).
      • Support operational business steering with adequate reports, ad-hoc analyses and recommendations
      • Drive operational excellence projects
      • Be the interface to the local credit management team.
      • Monitor aging of receivables and support collection of overdues via development of payment plans
      • Support LBM/Marketing/Sales in the design of commercial schemes by providing accurate information and developing comparative models for profit analysis
      • Design SOP for commercial scheme pay-out and ensure proper records are kept for audit purposes
    • Strategic controlling:
      • Support financial evaluation as well as development and implementation of strategic projects (e.g. business models, go-to-market approach, make-or-buy decisions, investment decisions, portfolio management)
      • Support strategy development.
      • Plan, forecast and monitor capital expenditure
      • Drive and train mindset of value based management across the organization
      • Support value based decision making throughout the organization targeting sustainable optimization of absolute Market Performance. Perform ad-hoc analyses based on operational business steering requirements.
      • Execute specific action plan to reduce dysfunctional stock (aging, no & slow mover).
      • Strictly follow the inventory guideline process for inventory write-off and stock taking procedures[SC1] [RB2] .
      • Oversee and coordinate with the Supply Chain team for all SC related tasks.
    • Corporate Governance and Compliance:
      • Go-to-person and increase awareness around compliance, internal guidelines and processes.
      • Support design and/or improvement of internal controls
      • Support internal audits and track follow-ups.
      • Accountable for contract management.
      • Responsible for project mangement specifically with the Differentiated Steering

Minimum Education and Qualifications Required

      • Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting
      • Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting is an advantage 
      • Working Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Controlling
      • Technical & Professional Knowledge
      • Advanced finance and accounting skills, proficiency in interpretation and analysis of financial reports.
      • Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory & distribution planning process
      • APO DP & SAP knowledge is beneficial.
      • Advanced skills in MS Office applications.
      • Good command in English.
      • Good communication skills, team player.
