Formula for Success

 

As QC Chemist, you’ll support the BASF Nutrition & Health business with QC testing in the quality control laboratory at our Cheltenham Production site. You’ll be responsible for the analysis of raw materials for use in intermediates and finished products.

 

You’ll:

  • Release or reject all raw materials, intermediates, packaging, and labelling materials based on their compliance with specifications.
  • Initiate Out of Specification (OOS) investigations, maintain records of OOS results and report on trends.
  • Prepare the samples and relevant documents for customer sample requests.
  • Ensure change control procedures are followed in relation to changes to methods and specifications. 
  • Ensure the necessary calibrations of laboratory equipment are performed and records kept.

 

Ingredients for Success

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a keen eye for detail, with excellent laboratory practices & record keeping skills. You’ll be a natural communicator, ensuring that information is timely communicated to relevant parties.

 

You’ll:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in science and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Have knowledge of HPLC and Gas chromatography instruments.
  • Be highly diligent with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly desirable.
