Formula for Success

Join BASF in a Full-time permanent opportunity as Industry Manager. In this role you’ll manage and grow relevant strategic business units (SBU) for Australia & New Zealand. You’ll support the BASF Dispersions & Resins business in achieving it’s strategic objectives by achieving increased recognition, customer satisfaction and developing an understanding of industry stakeholders and value chain.

You’ll:

• Take responsibility for financial performance to achieve targets regarding net sales, contribution margin & fixed costs
• Manage accounts through relationship development, forecasting, technical support, credit management & commercial negotiation
• Support other sales personnel with technical & product information for the SBU(s)
• Contribute to the development of the business strategy & product/project proposals.
• Plan & guide Technical Service Chemist project activities, development plan and priority

Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, and the ability to translate technical information into business needs.

You’ll:

• Hold a tertiary qualification relevant to the field (technical or business management)
• Prior experience working in a laboratory environment (highly desirable)
• Demonstrated sales and business management experience
