Objectives of the Position
- Manage transport management operations supporting global overseas delivery services of EMEA
- Manage team development and resource planning to Management
- Manage internal business partner relationship and requirements – through collaboration, engagement and high service quality
- Manage LSP service performance, provides input to service requirement and collaborate with LSP on issues, risks, business feedback and improvement for customer satisfaction
- Responsible for risk management pertaining to team and service provider operations, including but not limited to access management, data protection, business continuity process and periodic risk management reviews
- Drive knowledge management of service and ensure effective knowledge retention through structured review, update and process ownership
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple strategic programmes across APAC
- Manage and lead the Transport management team that performs Transport planning activities for exports from Region EMEA via sea freight to our Internal and external customers.
- Plan and organize the resource requirements for the team. Ensure recruiting and development of talents, including team build up
- Collaboration/management of projects/initiative to further develop and optimize service delivery processes taking responsibility for defined cross-sectional tasks.
- Identify and address the requirements of internal business partners (Export & Transport Management and Site logistics teams) to ensure high level of service quality.
- Establishes active communication and build strong collaboration with internal business partners taking ownership and responsibility for problem solving to meet business & customer needs
- Manage LSP’s monitoring quality of services delivered, feedback rates, transport reliability and Tracking shipments & vessels to improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Education
- Minimum of Degree in supply chain, business administration, international business. Other tertiary education can be considered with the availability of professional experience
- At least 3-5 years Professional experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in logistics, transportation and international trade deliveries
Working Experience
- Has experience in leadership or supervising operational team & International liaisons
- Process implementation and tools/application familiarity incl. change management and digital applications for supply chain
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Strong customer and service orientation, proactive and able to provide solutions; with critical thinking skills
- High proficiency in verbal and written English with strong communication and presentation skills
- Team Management, Mentorship experiences or tendencies
- Experience with ERP in supply chain preferred. SAP or other ERP
