Responsibilities: 

  • In your role as Supply Chain Planning DevOps Engineer, your will develop and support (DevOps) of our supply chain planning systems smoothly integrate with the company new ERP system in S/4 HANA environment (Project NGBA) with below activities:
  • Start a training and learning path to fully understand BASF Supply Chain Planning process/solutions in APO, IBP and OMP and skill up with S&OP and Supply Planning functional related processes, framework design and technical set up;
  • Work as key coordinator to make sure smooth switch the interface between BASF Supply Chain Planning solutions to BASF core ERP system from ECC to S4HANA (project NGBA) on behalf of S&OP and Supply Planning Team;
  • Design and deploy S&OP and Supply Planning functional process and technical solution to various business units in region/global, working with diverse stakeholders in supply chain and commercial teams
  • Work in an agile way within a virtual global S&OP and Supply Planning in OMP S&OP squad, learning by doing / shadowing colleagues and managing the system development/configuration/on-going support.
  • Work on user stories, change requests, actively pull and take over tasks and work self-organized in development squads.
  • System Integration: Ensure readiness for interface with BW (business warehouse) and MABAS (master data system), and integration between current Supply Chain S&OP and Supply Planning Solution with S/4 HANA
  • Data Management: Define S&OP and Supply Planning related data structure, process, and interface from existing systems to future systems, including ECC to S/4 HANA system
  • Collaboration: On behalf of OMP S&OP development squad, work closely with the NGBA project team, master data team, BW team, integration team, and DIL team for new process/system architecture redesign, analysis the impact to Demand Planning process/solutions, raise the requirement to project team to ensure Demand Planning solution interface with Core ERP system could smooth transform from ECC to S/4 HANA
  • Coordination: Coordinate with the NGBA Project team to include S&OP and Supply Planning related requirements into the NGBA project scope
  • Development: Develop solutions in case existing interfaces are not working after S/4 HANA is live
  • Testing and Support: Conduct testing in DEV & ACC environments, provide cutover support for integration from OMP to S4 HANA, and offer go-live support
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate the performance of custom code after switching to S4 HANA

 

Requirement:

  • Bachelor / Master in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years supply chain planning experience with an understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning
  • Technical and Professional Knowledge:
  • Minimum 5 years’ developer experience in supply chain planning with good technical capability of system background (SAP APO, IBP, OMP or others)
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in SAP S4 HANA and Supply Chain Planning system integration, data management and system performance assessment.
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain Planning at least in one of below area: Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, Detailed Planning & Scheduling and interfacing process areas.
  • Solid DevOps knowledge in supply chain planning system in functional design, testing, configuration and debugging Experience
  • Programming experience with C++, Java, Python, GIT, SQL
     
  • General Capabilities:
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solutions for complex integration issues.  
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Comfortable working in highly complex environment with multiple stakeholders and with strong pressure to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Analytical thinking, Excellent communication skills in English with customers/Internal business partner.
  • Embraces uncertainties and is not afraid to challenge status quo.
