Our product, Operational Environment, Health & Safety, implements operational environmental, health and safety standards to ensure the "License to Operate“. We create a global digital solution portfolio for operational environmental, health and safety solutions. Our focus is on production safety incorporating all environmental, health and safety aspects related to manufacturing. We are looking for a highly dynamic, motivated, and collaborative person to join our team. We are focused on the modernization of legacy systems and development of new capabilities of digital solutions in the Operational EHS domain. There is a growing global need within BASF to leverage digitalization to continue BASF’s journey of EHS excellence and continuously improving our capabilities especially through digitalization.
Responsibilities and Key Outcomes:
- As a solution engineer for the Operational EHS team within the Global Digital Services organization, you will be responsible for the implementation planning, execution, and ongoing support of select solutions in the Operational EHS portfolio in the Asia Pacific region, including, but not limited to Permit-to-Work, Management of Change, Incident Management, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, and Field Safety Observations.
- By maintaining customer focus, you will be responsible for the communications with relevant production stakeholders for the production units and sites that you are supporting, as well as employ sound project management skills to track timeline and costs details.
- With a focus on service and sustainability, you will identify as-is plant processes and capture user requirements to ensure that deployed solutions are properly utilized and consistent design and process principles are used at BASF sites.
- You will be responsible for training production and construction team members on the use of EHS digital tools including the development of training materials as needed
- Using your problem-solving skills, you will troubleshoot issues with your assigned production plants, and categorize and escalate support when necessary
- Leveraging a highly collaborate product team environment, you will provide and prioritize user feedback with the relevant process owners in the team.
- In support developing others and favorable adoption of new systems, you will train end users on the use of relevant EHS solutions, including the development of training materials as needed during project implementations, and subsequently organize processes to support ongoing training.
- Track and record the project status, provide feedback to relevant users in time, and assist the team to ensure digital tool can meet the end-user expectations and the SLA (service level agreement)
Job Requirements - Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory):
- Experience in the Chemical manufacturing industry or similar industries.
- Experience configuration of software systems, including data management, cleanup, and data transfers
- Expertise in Power BI
- Troubleshooting expertise and interaction skills for software solutions in production
- Experience in Project management/coordination.
- Experience in Stakeholder Management
- Experience in Change Management
- High comfort level with software and smart technologies
- Experience in training users and developing training material.
- Strong in communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in preparing formal communications material and project management documentation.
- A team player and strong collaboration skills
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Experience in Agile way of working.
- Experience in working in global teams / projects.
- Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture.
- Willingness to travel (25%)
Education and work experience:
- Degree or significant work experience in Engineering, Chemical Manufacturing, Safety, Information Technology, Project Management or in a comparable field.
- Experience with core industrial EHS processes, such as permit-to-work, isolation management, management of change (MOC), incident management, etc.
