Our unit “Data Foundation” Product “Integration” uses highly innovative technologies to integrate data and applications. The Data Integration Layer (DIL) is a platform and framework for integration scenarios, data exchange for internal and external purposes. DIL provides tools and processes to get whatever kind of data, in which ever format available or needed. It implements capabilities defined in Enterprise Integration Concept for: Data Integration, Thing Integration, Process Integration, and User Integration.

 

Responsibilities and Key Outcomes 

 

You work with Thing Integration Technologies, such as SAP Advanced Event Mesh and KAFKA, and provide consulting services to BASF stakeholders on these technologies. Your responsibilities include defining, executing, scheduling, and maintaining data pipelines, as well as developing innovative SAP infrastructure and cloud concepts. You implement modules with security and authorization frameworks, ensuring compliance with BASF's information and data protection guidelines. As the project evolves, you adapt to changes in processes and ensure systematic quality assurance for accurate data processing. Additionally, you build reusable code and libraries, optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, and utilize tools like Azure DevOps and Confluence.

 

Job Requirements 

 

Education and work exprience

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field
  • Minimum 5 years’ related working experience 

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)

 

  • Working with Thing Integration Technologies, like SAP Advanced Event Mesh and KAFKA
  • Consulting for BASF stakeholders for Integration Technologies
  • Define, execute, schedule & maintain data pipelines
  • Development of innovative SAP infrastructure & cloud concepts
  • Implement modules having security and authorization frameworks
  • Follow security guidelines for BASF information & data protection
  • Adapt to changes in processes as the project evolves in size and function
  • Ensure systematic quality assurance for the validation of accurate Data Processing
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Optimization of applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Azure DevOps or similar tools, Confluence

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

 

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in relevant Business/IT studies with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Expert level knowledge on Solace as basis for SAP Advanced Event Mesh
  • Expert level knowledge on KAFKA
  • Experience with concepts & customizing of SAP Integration Technologies
  • Should know relevant programming languages
  • Should be able to analyze and understand complex data structures
  • Business Consulting and Technical Consulting skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture
  • A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • You can demonstrate fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
