Objectives of the Position    

  • To oversee and troubleshoot tax-related processes within the mobility scope, ensuring quality and enhancing the assignee experience by intervening during escalations and process issues, in close collaboration with our tax vendor.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all tax-related aspects of international assignments, ensuring compliance with global, regional, and local tax regulations for inbound and outbound expatriates.
  • Provide guidance and support to transferees, HR, and management on tax matters throughout the assignment lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize tax processes and mitigate risks.

 

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Advise employees, HR, and management on tax implications of international assignments, including hypothetical tax calculations, tax equalization, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and vendors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, reporting, and documentation for transferees.
  • Support the preparation and validation of tax-related documents, such as salary sheets, assignment letters, and intercompany charging.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on mobility policies and processes.
  • Ensure all assignment-related tax processes are compliant with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for tax audits and queries related to mobility assignments.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, and other relevant teams to ensure accurate tax withholding and reporting.
  • Maintain and update tax-related data in relevant HR and finance systems (e.g., Assignment Pro).

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in tax, finance, or mobility, with a focus on expatriate or international assignment tax matters.
  • Experience working with external tax advisors and managing tax compliance processes is highly regarded

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of international and local tax regulations related to expatriate assignments.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and HR/finance systems (e.g., Assignment Pro, SAP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solution-oriented and proactive in driving process improvements.
