ICoRe product mission is to organize and centralize BASF corporate knowledge in the form of entities across R&D units. You will be a key contributor as a Backend Developer within the ICoRe team to achieve this mission.

Responsibilities and Key Outcomes 

• Designing, developing, and testing of a set of microservices written in Java Spring Boot framework
• Ensure high reliability, scalability, and performance
• Build reusable code and libraries 
• Ability to translate user and business needs into Java Spring Boot code

Job Requirements 

Education and work experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics or in a comparable field
• 2+ years’ of working experience in backend development

Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)

• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Experience in implementing projects based on Java Spring Boot Framework, developing REST APIs, Relational database and Neo4j graph database 
• Knowledge of security protocols including authentication services

Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

• Knowledge of LLMs, especially GPT functional calling is a plus

Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

• Familiarity in Agile way of working approach
• Familiarity with Git, and Docker, enabling streamlined development and deployment processes
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
