Devops Specialist

We are currently embarking on the journey to creating a development platform for BASF with which we want to enable multiple development channels like web, ML/AI and mobile.

To support this vision, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Specialist to join our ML/AI team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives. In your role you will ensure the seamless integration and deployment of ML/AI models, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
 

Responsibilities and Key Outcomes 

• Automate the deployment, monitoring, and management of ML/AI models in production environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of our ML/AI systems.
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines tailored for ML/AI projects.

Job Requirements 

Education and work experience

• Minimum 3 years related working experience.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)

• Scripting or computing language (e.g. Python, Java and etc.). 
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes 
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Helm 
• Familiarity with database & network concepts and technologies 
• Profound experience in Cloud platforms like Azure
• Hands-on experience in software development, preferably for cloud-based applications
• Expertise in implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools
• Experience with GitHub as DevOps platform.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
